Sunday, 24.2.19

Today was Paul's birthday, so Steph made pancakes for breakfast. After that, I went shopping with Steph. All the stores are open on Sundays too. Then I went to the beach. Unfortunately, still alone as I haven't met any other volunteers yet. There are very few people at the beach and mostly white. In the afternoon, Paul's sister came to visit and we had a cake together, which turned out to be surprisingly lekker (Afrikaans)! A very cozy Sunday!
In the evening, a baby gecko visited me in the room. Steph tried to catch it, but it kept jumping away. I just hoped that it would find its way back through the window before I go to bed. Before we went to sleep, I asked if I have to work tomorrow. Steph just said that they will check it in the morning and I should just get up with them...
