My heart is in Ghosttown (rewritten a bit)
You probably know it (here's the link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix8ocFEMa1o)
Very often, in different situations, very specific songs come to my mind.
However, this one has been accompanying me decisively and very consistently since February 1, 2023: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EYi5aW1GdUU
But back to Ghosttown.
Kampar is situated between Ipoh (the 3rd largest city) and Kuala Lumpur, in a valley where tin was mined until 2011.
Afterwards, the holes were flooded and voila, it feels a bit like home when I think of the Leipzig region.
However, there wasn't much swimming in Kampar, except in the in-house pool (which is regularly chlorinated, as swimwear is not in short supply in Muslim-dominated countries, unlike at the Baltic Sea :))
But here too, there were culinary discoveries and in the city of Kampar, there is street art and a tin museum (who would have thought)
Here are so many pictures, because I was there for a whole week.
