The disadvantage of travel planning is due to the enormous north-south expanse of the country, which cannot be avoided. Traveling, and not as a round trip but back and forth. Although you have the car until the afternoon in some cases, it doesn't make much sense to drive around with all the luggage and do sightseeing.
So this morning I dropped off the car in Puerto Montt and also got on board first thing in the morning, which takes place at the hotel. Departure was in the evening around 9 p.m., so I wandered around Puerto Montt all day, as far as finding a café with internet goes on the day. Here it was the "Café Dresden".
In the evening I went to the Evangelista ferry. An old ship built in 1977 with only the following equipment: cafeteria, bar, and onboard souvenir sales. Nothing else, but I was lucky to have the entire 4-person cabin to myself, as the other 3 bunks were empty J
Despite the sparse equipment, the crossing costs a small fortune, everyone speculates on the nature. For this purpose, the extremely peaceful crew gave a very illustrative instruction... Let's see, especially how the weather is.
Here are a few pictures from the day...
