So today we are finally starting our camper van adventure. Of course, we woke up very early - it is quite exciting for us to be traveling with a motorhome. So after loading our stuff into the motorhome, we left at 8 o'clock. We first went around the corner to Walmart, because we still had to buy supplies. That took us about an hour. We were glad to have an shopping list from the internet from other experienced campers. Finally, we started. First on HWY 1 heading west and then on 99 heading north. We made a stop at Horseshoe Bay - a small town north of Vancouver, from where ferries go to Vancouver Island. We covered the remaining kilometers to Whistler in one go. There we immediately went to the reserved Riverside campground, parked the van in the assigned spot and connected everything. Everything went super smoothly for the first time 👍 Then we walked into the town of Whistler - just about 2.9km. There we admired the bikers who raced down the mountain trails at a high speed and then went back up with the chairlift.
Driven km: 187 km
Conclusion: our expectations of a vacation with a motorhome were fulfilled.
