Yesterday Benny and I were warmly welcomed in the hut. After a short introduction and a few new card games, we immediately put our forged plans into action the next morning 👍
This meant taking the bus to the mountain and renting our equipment. Since I didn't have my own stuff, I needed a board, shoes, and a helmet. We tested everything together on the practice slope - the initially wobbly legs quickly turned into 'I think I know what I'm doing now' 😄 After that, we got on the gondola and took on the blue slopes. It's really nice that we were able to divide ourselves into small groups with similar riding levels and always support and help each other.
The view from the mountain and from the slopes is absolutely breathtaking. The occasional fall was immediately captured in a few snapshots and we had a lot of self-confidence for lunch - typically Austrian 🤤
Then an unexpected setback followed 😪 The first run after the break was a complete failure. I would say it was a series of mishaps and bad luck 😅 A phenomenon that would repeat itself.
Nevertheless, we managed to finish the day with a successful blue and red slope and left the mountain with a good feeling. To end the day, we gathered new strength at the accommodation during a sociable dinner. Thanks to the great cooking teams - hopefully we can do just as well during our mission 😄
