Day 5 - July 16

Whakaputaina: 17.07.2016

Sun friends ☀

Today was our first change of scenery, we went from Ubud to Candi Dasa 👍🏾💪🏽

At about 10 o'clock, our German-speaking guide arrived and as the first item on our agenda, we went to a huge black tower that depicts Bali's history 👺👹

Opposite, there was a kind of temple complex and a court where both judges and priests had a say in the past 👴🏽🏛

Next on our program was a visit to a temple where a ceremony was taking place at the moment 🙏🏾🏛. This temple is located right next to a cave full of bats, in general you can often see bats in Bali 🐥🐲

Right in front of the temple complex, salt was still being harvested in the traditional way by the sea. Sea water is dried on sand, then the salt is filtered out and in the end, white salt crystals are produced

Finally, on our way to Candi Dasa, we took a hike through the rice fields and through villages that still look original. 👣🌴🏡

What was nice about it was that there were actually only locals there and the paths sometimes led through rivers 💦 and over rocks🌾🌴, which made the hike much more enjoyable 😍👍🏾

Finally, we arrived at our hotel 🏚🏡, which is now also located by the sea 💦💧, so that in the next few days we can finally unpack our snorkeling gear 🐬🐠🐟
