Our day started with breakfast at Maddy's. I treated myself to a delicious fruit salad with yogurt and a cheese sandwich. The sandwich wasn't amazing, but the fruit was incredible.
Afterwards, we went to the trekking point from where you can hike to Bottle Beach. Other options would have been a boat or shared taxi, but we wanted to walk. The jungle path was incredibly beautiful but also so steep and slippery due to the pebbles that I eventually decided to continue on all fours 😅
Since it's not easy to drive there on your own, the beach was also nice and empty.
The way back was consistently extremely steep uphill. It was really tough at 30 degrees (+-). I don't know if I've ever sweated so much. But it was absolutely worth it. Today we also saw a lot of monkeys, even on the beach 😍
After our relaxed day at the beach, we went to a viewpoint that was recommended to us. It was really uuunglaublich beautiful up there. But since we were also afraid of driving up the steep hill and especially down again, we also walked up again and sweated abnormally. But in the end it was worth it
For dinner, we had Phagnan curry. It was spicier than the previous dinners, but still bearable and incredibly delicious!
When it was dark, we went back to the hostel and treated ourselves to a Thai massage in the area. Boy, oh boy... It was just as spicy as the food 😅 we were properly kneaded and twisted and now we're super relaxed and ready to go to bed 🧘🏼♀️
