Whakaputaina: 20.03.2020

The world is upside down and it will affect us eventually. What do we do? As of tonight, there is a curfew here as well. So Campingplatz Marrakesch and for how long? No one can say. What are the reasons for considerations? For me, the significantly worse medical care in case of emergency is clear at the moment. Our health insurance expires on March 27, 2020. Others see it lightly, don't even have one at all. I'm truly not a fan of insurance, but I find them important. I couldn't get additional insurance because of the worldwide travel warning, they told me. Typical, right? When you need them and it's urgent, they back away immediately. This morning, on the beautiful terrace of the campsite, there was information for everyone regarding the return journey and the curfew. Strange situation.

I asked myself, do I want this? Do I want to spend potentially weeks on the campsite? With the hope in the back not to get sick? Is it premature to start thinking now? The fact is: we had a wonderful time in Morocco so far. That was traveling as we like it. To decide in the morning: What do we do? Stay or start off? If so, where to? And all of this in free choice. Now it would be waiting. Possibly for a long time. What if something is not okay at home? We are not scaredy-cats, but my gut feeling didn't want to wait here. Our plan had already been changed anyway. We have to drive through Europe quickly, without tourist purposes. So, to make a long story short: tomorrow morning we will make our way to the ferry port in Ceuta. Let's see how it goes from there? I'll report back.
