The 1st week

It's Wednesday afternoon and our first week in Saudi Arabia is coming to an end.

The campus and the university are really great and impressive.

Not only during the day but especially at night, everything has a magical atmosphere here:

So far, everything is still very exciting - there is also a lot to do (especially organizational - diving certificates, collecting money, insurance, and so on...)
Currently, we see the Office of Governmental Affairs almost as often as our workplace..

My workplace

Diving is more difficult than expected - because our diving certificates are not automatically recognized here. So we not only had to undergo a new diving medical examination but also have to convert our brevets into Saudi diving brevets.

Last weekend, we finally made it to the beach :-) The water is bathtub warm - not really refreshing..

In addition, both of us are diligently preparing for a presentation that we both have to give next week about our planned projects.

But this weekend we are planning a trip to the 'Mall of Arabia' - the pictures on the internet were quite impressive.

But more about that soon.
