After the night in Risør, we headed to our "final destination" in Norway: Kristiansand. We arrived here by ferry 18 days ago and we will leave from here as well.
But before that, Ingo wanted to visit the coastal battery Vara Cannon Museum (8 km behind Kristiansand). I'm not interested in the topic at all, so I preferred to sit in the shade, read, and plan the next journey 😇. However, Ingo was really impressed when he came back, the museum is highly recommended! 👍
Our plan to spend the night there on the parking lot failed due to the prohibition sign, so we drove back to the Roligheden camping site in the evening, where we had spent the first night after our arrival. There, we got one of the last spots on the gravel parking lot in the front and had to pay 495 NOK for it (instead of 357 NOK two weeks ago) - it's high season now! The advantage of the high season is that the pizza truck is open 😁 🍕.
This morning we had to get up early because we had to be at the ferry before 7 o'clock. We left completely tired and exhausted. Unfortunately, the traffic calming bumps were not marked, so suddenly not only our clothes jumped off the hook and our books flew off the shelf, but also our poor cats made a huge jump 😾😿. Well, it all turned out fine in the end, nothing happened except for a big scare!
The subsequent ferry trip was calm, we mainly occupied ourselves with food ("Catch me if you can - breakfast buffet" 😋).
We then drove through Denmark completely in 4 hours, and now we are back in Flensburg at the CITTI-Park. Germany has us back! Tomorrow we're going home!
I will post a conclusion of the journey with a calculation of all the kilometers and costs in the next few days.
First of all, thank you to everyone who virtually accompanied us on our journey. I enjoyed writing! 😌🙏
