Day 3

Kilometers driven: 276

Our day starts today at 7:30 in the morning. We are not very hungry, so we skip breakfast. Instead, we visit the stream that flows a few meters below the parking lot. We promptly saw a dipper, which is quite rare, catch a small fish from the water. And once again, we don't have the camera ready; shame on us! A short time later, we are back at the stream, but this time with the camera and tripod. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear anymore. Nevertheless, we were able to take some beautiful nature shots.

Remember that we don't have internet at this place? That's why we get into the camper and drive until we have LTE again. Now we can look at the map to see where we want to go today. Two options quickly arise: either Brocken in the Harz Mountains or the Fichtel Mountains. The long travel time of 6 hours to Brocken discourages us. So we choose to travel to the Fichtel Mountains. We already have a destination in mind: the Schneeberg.

In the process, we head north on the highway. Nothing noteworthy happens on the way there, so we'll spare you the boring details.

We arrive at the foot of Schneeberg in good spirits around 2 PM. By now, we are very hungry, so today we have (once again) mashed potatoes and sausages wrapped in bacon. After the meal, we take a short walk to explore the surroundings.

It's time to find a spot for the night. After a short search using the Park4Night app, we quickly find a suitable place. This time we have chosen a free camper parking space. It is located in Bischofsgrün.

Here we get power for 24 hours for €2. Payment is made to a small column with 1 euro coins.

After a simple dinner, we watch a few episodes of a series on Netflix and with that, the third day comes to an end.
