Roller theft in Mui Ne

Once again, we took the bus to the next stop on our Vietnam trip. This time our destination was Mui Ne, located on the east coast, 5 hours away from Da Lat.

We were the only tourists in a relatively small bus. It didn't take long for us to gain a little fan. A Vietnamese girl, sitting two rows ahead of us, secretly observed us throughout the entire journey, peeking through the seats. She was absolutely adorable. At some point, it seemed like the bus was running out of fuel, so we just continued with the door open, without the air conditioning. Why not...? :)

During our two days in Mui Ne, one thing was on our agenda: BEACH! We had a great little accommodation on a fishing beach and could watch the beautiful sunset from a small beach bar right next to it.

The next morning, we rented a scooter once again to go to the nearby red sand dunes. It's fascinating how the dunes suddenly appear out of nowhere. However, it's not bearable in the sand for too long because it absorbs a lot of heat from the sun. So we decided to drive to a beach that was a little further away from our accommodation after a short while.

We had a wonderfully relaxed day at the beach, our very first in Vietnam.

However, the relaxation quickly disappeared when we returned to our scooter and it was gone. All hope that it may have been moved by someone else was in vain. It was actually stolen. We never expected this to happen. During our time here, and also during our trips to Bali and Lombok, we never even thought for a moment that someone would steal our scooter. Unfortunately, there are idiots everywhere in the world, even in paradise. Of course, we had to bear the costs because no one is insured against anything here. You go to the neighbor around the corner and take their scooter for a small fee, maybe leaving your passport as a deposit, and that's it.

So, if anyone is interested: we are selling our beautiful black scooter that was unfortunately stolen. As a bonus, you'll get my favorite pink sneakers, which are still in the compartment under the seat.

Mui Ne, you are beautiful but will be remembered for this bad experience.
