Hey everyone,
Today we started at 8 o'clock: getting everything ready, checking out, and heading to the ferry port.
Already the crew on the ship consisted of Italians and immediately we felt much more comfortable. As we got on the ship, it was only "avanti, avanti" and suddenly "tranquillo, tranquillo" - always with a smile on their faces :).
After just one hour of driving, we already arrived in Sardinia. Here too, the casual way of the Italians was immediately noticeable: we were by no means the slowest on the road, and if we were, everyone showed understanding.
First of all, we looked for a place to stay. Not so easy on a Sunday afternoon. We quickly realized that it was hopeless and that we just had to wait a bit longer. So we parked the camper and enjoyed the warm weather and the crystal clear water. We sunbathed, splashed around, and observed the hustle and bustle around us.
After a wonderful afternoon, we set off for the next spot. On the way, we quickly did some shopping and wanted to fill up with water. They wanted to charge us 30 euros for the "motorhome service"!!! We thanked them and drove on. We will definitely find something much cheaper! Even if we have to buy the water in the supermarket...
The next spot was wonderful! However, surrounded by sand and as you know, we have had our experiences with sand... We parked briefly in a nearby parking lot to eat something and let time pass until the Italians slowly went home.
So, let's continue:
On the way, we actually found a tap right in the middle of a mountain pass! We only filled up a bit because a local resident explained to us that only 30 liters per person per day are allowed to be taken. He didn't mind if we filled up completely - but we refrained from doing so because others were still waiting. There was a veritable rush to the tap, which made us wonder if so many people really don't have running water at home...
Shortly afterwards, we arrived at the chosen spot. It's really beautiful here, right by the water and just for ourselves. Unfortunately, there is a lot of rubbish around, but otherwise, it's really great!
So, we'll enjoy the rest of the evening and say: see you tomorrow!
