What does one do when it storms or rains at the coast? One visits a city inland! That's why we were in Zagreb today.
To us, Zagreb felt a bit like the little brother of Vienna. Especially the architecture of the townhouses and grand buildings heavily reminds one of the Austrian capital. Just everything a size smaller and not always in such good condition.
We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. A big city with a small-town feel. There is quite a bit to see and do, most of it is in the old town, and conveniently reachable on foot. Unfortunately, both the art pavilion and the cathedral are currently being renovated.
As we strolled through one of the residential neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city, it looked just like in German big cities.
One could definitely live here for a few years; it offers everything that makes life in a city worthwhile.
