Via Borjomi towards the Turkish border

Tuesday June 4, 2024, day 10 of 13.

Cozy breakfast in the wonderfully airy arbor of Nikas Guesthouse. Some of the tour participants, who seem overtired, report on their early morning experience in the forest. Unfortunately, no wolf sightings. The jeep takes our luggage back across the stream and we travel further south into the mountains near Turkey. There we stay for a few days in Valodias Cottages near Vardzia at an altitude of 1260m. The torrent rushes here too. Beforehand, we get some food in the spa and bathing resort of Borjomi. Tsars and especially Russian soldiers probably used to recover there. The healing water cured stomach aches.
