Ometepe

After six means of transportation, we arrive at Ometepe, the volcanic island in Lake Nicaragua.

The goal here is to kite, so we choose accommodation directly on the kite beach. After arrival, we can also book a short but spectacular kite session thanks to the sunset. The view from the water of two volcanoes, whose peaks are hidden in clouds, with a parallel dramatic sunset, is something special. (Of course, we didn't bring the camera here:-/ ).

Unfortunately, that's it with great kite sessions. The wind is not in our favor. For the next three days, we can barely get on the water and have to end the session after about half an hour, thanks to the declining wind. What a pity.

When we're not waiting for the wind, we explore the island by scooter and hike to a waterfall.
