Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, day 4
This morning we left quite early, took the bus to Outer Richmond to visit a friend who had invited us for coffee. From there we walked to the Pacific, to Golden Gate Bay, past the Cliff House to the foot of Golden Gate Park to Judah on Ocean Beach. There we had a water at the Java Café (1st café on my first day of work in San Francisco January 1996) before taking the N line back to the Inner Sunset. We got out at UCSF (University of California San Francisco) and I was a little nostalgic because I worked here 26 or 27 years ago. Even the Panda Imbiss, our favorite Chinese snack bar where we often grabbed lunch, still exists. But the best thing is: my favorite food, orange chicken, is still there and it tastes just as fantastic as it did 26 years ago. And they certainly didn't keep it in the fridge for me for 26 years. Hopefully ‼️ Afterwards we walked around UCSF a bit and went down to Sunset because I wanted to show Andrea the house where I lived for two years. It still looks the same as it did back then, still painted powder blue.
Afterwards we rested a bit in the hotel before taking the bus to the Inner Richmond because there was a small get-together party there with friends this evening.
