The north of the South Island

On arriving in the north, we said goodbye to the two girls. They continued on to the North Island and we wanted to visit Golden Bay before our kayak tour in Abel Tasman National Park.

Unfortunately, there was a 2-day storm before our visit, which destroyed many roads.

As a result, all roads to Golden Bay were closed and we were also worried that we might have to cancel our kayak tour. However, we were lucky. Abel Tasman National Park was still accessible via one road.

So we spent 2 days in the north and then drove to Abel Tasman National Park to meet up with Lisa, Alea, and Jordan there.
