The Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde is quite impressive. Here you can learn how the ships were recovered. The found parts are reconstructed as a ship and attached to their respective positions. But that's not the only exciting thing. In the outdoor area, the found ships have been reconstructed. You can watch the craftsmen create a ship and see the variety of tools they use. If you want, you can even sail on one of the reconstructed Viking boats. These sailing tours can be booked in advance. And last but not least, there is of course the museum shop. However, we were very disappointed with it. There was a lot of selection, but little that really has to do with the topic of shipping. And that's exactly the theme of the museum. Instead, you can of course buy the usual tourist stuff and a lot of clothes that would have fit better in a flea market than in a historical museum.
