Have a wonderful good evening everyone. Today day 3 of my trip. My good friend Pepe invited me to go with him to the Waria excavation site and museum today. The name of the culture is derived from the town of Huari (Wari), the political and urban center of the state, about 25 km northeast of today's city of Ayacucho in southern Peru. That was really really good. We traveled on such transport buses. I think there are hundreds of them in the city. Used a lot by locals as it is more flexible and cheaper than other means of transport. They also stop again and again along the route and take people with them when called. I don't need to mention that it's adventurous. But it was exactly my thing. So when we arrived at the Waristätte, we took a look at it. Pepe is an archaeologist and was able to tell me a lot because he was also there during the excavations. But after that we couldn't go back exactly the way we came. No, no, we had to walk to the town below, 7 km away. From there, such a vehicle was able to load us up again and take us back. The path was amazing. Something so beautiful. Called the Wariweg. I was absolutely thrilled. On the way I messed with the cacti. (They have tiny little spines. The prickly pear is edible.) Very unpleasant experience. When we arrived in town, the car roared up and took us away again. On the last stretch to the accommodation I was bitten by a honking foot. It was still a breathtaking day. Now I'm exhausted and looking forward to tomorrow again :)
