🇬🇧 English version below
Tour data: Distance 85.38 kilometers, max. 55.1 km/h, Ø 21.7 km/h, ascent 660 m, duration 3:56 hours
Weather: quite cool and cold wind, initially cloudy, then quite sunny with light cirrus clouds that take some of the sun's strength.
After the beautiful sunset last night, I was amazed at the gray and overcast sky this morning. It even looked like rain to me.
Breakfast was not available at the hotel until 8am. It's late for me because I like to be on the road by this time. Therefore, the receptionist was only able to take the starting photo at 09:15. I needed her to open the small shed where my bike was stored.
I finally started just before half past nine. My planned destination was actually Gothenburg. But then I added some detours to be able to ride more comfortably and on better routes. The high hotel prices in Gothenburg further demotivated me from reaching this city today.
So I took it easy and found a room on a golf course after about 85 kilometers. It would have been almost 50 kilometers to Gothenburg.
The first 10 kilometers were quiet streets and bike paths. But then there was a gravel road with very coarse gravel for a few kilometers. I took a close-up photo so you can get a good idea of it.
Unfortunately, I didn't find as beautiful places by the water on this route today as I did yesterday. But there was often very little traffic, so these detours were still worth it. By the way, these detours are the official bike paths of the long-distance cycle path in Sweden, so they're not the tours that were recommended to me by Komoot.
I would like to mention two special features of today. On the one hand, the ferry rides, both of which were very short. The ferries do not have propellers but are pulled across the water on two ropes. Steering is also done using these two ropes, simply by pulling one more than the other. In addition, there were three very high bridges towards the end of the tour. I was particularly impressed by the suspension bridge with two huge pillars. However, riding over these bridges went smoothly, as the bike paths were separate and quite wide.
