Ko Lanta has welcomed us back

Yesterday we returned to Ko Lanta, we simply feel comfortable on this island. Unfortunately, our hotel selection this time wasn't the best. Before arriving, I had reserved a room online in a hotel with a nice pool, right by the beach. For 3 days initially. Luckily. Because yes, there was a pool, and there was the beach. Unfortunately, both were about 200m away from our room, which we had to walk along the main road to get to. Additionally, the beach was a disaster. And besides our hotel, there were no other restaurants/bars within walking distance.

So in the afternoon, we set out to find something else - without success. We walked about 2km along the beach before we even came across the first resort where we could inquire about available rooms. Now we had the goal of treating ourselves to a pool for a few days, which limited our choices quite a bit. After probably walking another 4km, our mood worsening, the sun setting, and still not finding anything decent, we took a taxi back to the hotel. Thankfully, I was able to easily shorten our reservation to just one night. This morning, we set out for the next beach and also found a nice place to stay for the next few days. We will have a pool for 4 days now and still be right on the beach. What a luxury. After that, we'll see what comes next. We still have time.

After the days in Krabi, today we finally got to experience a wonderful sunset at the beach again. I'm really going to miss it when we're back in Cologne!
