Tried and tested: Oat biscuits as a booster

Paskelbta: 13.05.2024

The oat biscuits are a fallback for weak legs, impending blood sugar drops, a lack of snacks or simply as a motivator to keep going.

The recipe:

100 g melted butter

75 g cane sugar

10 g vanilla sugar

1 egg

-> Mix everything into a creamy mass.

100 g oat flakes (small leaf or fine)

70 g flakes (large leaf/ 5-grain flakes)

75 g wheat flour 550

3 g salt

7 g baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

-> Mix everything together and stir into the other mixture.

Cut off 40 g of raw dough per cookie and shape it into a round shape by hand to a thickness of 5 mm (moistened hands are better).

Bake at 190 °C top/bottom heat or 170 °C fan oven on baking paper or a greased baking tray. Baking time of around 14 minutes is a good guideline for lightly brown, crispy cookies.

Our rating: extremely tasty, by no means just a fallback option.
