In this trail too we had some uphill sections that we could only conquer by pushing and carrying.
On this descent too, we were offered breathtaking views again and again.
Just like yesterday, the terrain changed. We dived back into the jungle. The ground was extremely slippery in parts. Moss-covered lava rock is a special challenge.
In the lower section, it became drier and sandier again. As a grand finale, the trail had a few jumps built by the locals.
Then the trail ends in Puntallana. Technically, the trail was much more demanding than the one from the previous day. After getting lost a few times, we also had to pedal back up several meters. We were on the road for about 14 km, with 2000 meters of descent and 500 meters of ascent.
