On Monday, after a walk with the dog, we had a city tour in Munich. We took the subway to Marienplatz and enjoyed a great breakfast at Dallmeyer before watching the beautiful Glockenspiel there. Afterwards, we visited the Viktualienmarkt. Of course, we also had to visit a brewery and have some original white sausages and sausage salad. In the early afternoon, we went back to the motorhome. From there, we went to Grünwald. We had a great dog walk near the zoo and visited a cozy tavern. A walk past the FC Bayern Munich headquarters was also a must.
On Tuesday morning, we prepared the motorhome for water, wastewater, etc. We did some shopping at Lidl and then went to the swimming pool. It was a sweet little wave pool with a great children's area. Afterwards, we headed towards Bolzano, where we had breakfast with a friend on Wednesday morning.
So we went to Austria via the Brenner Pass to Italy. It was a great tour with a fantastic view. It's almost impossible to park a motorhome in Bolzano itself, so we found a spot a bit higher up in the mountains at Schloss Runkelstein. We stayed right by a stream with a waterfall.
In the morning, our friend Michael treated us to Italian croissants and coffee by the stream in the sun. He gave us some tips for our tour, including the suggestion to drive past Lake Kaltern. We did that in the afternoon. After about 20 minutes of driving, we arrived and found a great spot. The lake tour was 7.5 km long and Chillar was in a bad mood afterwards :-D. The route led through apple orchards and vineyards. It was just a dream in 22 degrees and sunny weather.
We ate outside and didn't need to turn on the heater anymore. The next morning, we used the lake tour for jogging and to try out the jogging stroller. Then we continued to Lake Garda.
