Day 15: Thursday 16.08.2018 Wild Atlantic Way from Ballybunnion to Clarinbridge

Today morning we slept in for a long time. Well rested, we started around 11:30 am. We continued on the Wild Atlantic Way. And took a small ferry from Tarbert to Killimer, the crossing lasted only about 20 minutes and it cost only 19 euros. Continuing on the Wild Atlantic Way, we passed by the Kilkee Cliffs. Where you could see and partly experience the immense power of nature, as the water splashed up high and the bus swayed with the rhythm of the wind. If you are traveling by car in Ireland, you should definitely drive this section of the Wild Atlantic Way in good visibility. We also drove with the good weather, which was very pleasant, because we constantly saw it getting worse or better in front or behind us. We passed the Cliffs of Moher and the sight was truly breathtaking. We continued north, refueled, bought ourselves a 99 ice cream cone and thus passed the Burren region. Here too, you could feel the force of nature. However, it felt a bit uncomfortable here. The bad weather finally caught up with us and there were no more animals to see. Also, everything was pretty dreary. Since we didn't have a place to sleep yet and were quite hungry, we continued until we could satisfy both.
Tomorrow we will continue to Galway. We have another accommodation there.
