Ötztaler Urweg Stage 5 from Sölden to Obergurgl

Today we started from Sölden directly with a short steep climb out of the village. After passing through two small hamlets, we followed Waal paths up to Moosalm, with a beautiful church and a view. Then we went through the Kühtrainschlucht gorge to the village of Zwieselstein, where we headed directly and steadily uphill. The path led us far beyond the tree line up to Timmelsjoch and the Top Mountain Crosspoint. After a short break, we descended several kilometers to our destination today in Obergurgl. With 19.6 km, an ascent of 1,220m, and a descent of 660m, it was already a challenging stage and a preview of tomorrow's first major stage.
