First day in Seattle

ຈັດພີມມາ: 05.11.2019

I survived the first night well, but due to jet lag and time difference, I woke up early in the morning. I used the time to browse the internet for sights and created a few routes. I fortified myself with breakfast, which is included in the price at the hostel is. It consists of toast with butter/jam/peanut butter, some fruit and cornflakes, but it's definitely enough ;)

My first stop was Pier 66, a famous waterfront pier in Seattle.

Next, I went to Pike Place Market, a farmers market that has been operating for over 100 years. Fresh fish, seafood, meat, and baked goods are just some of the things the market has to offer. You can spend hours here watching the people...

My next stop was the Great Wheel, a ferris wheel located directly on the harbor with a view of the Seattle skyline. Luckily, the weather was good that day and I had blue skies and sunshine.
My day tour continued through the Pioneer Square district, the Smith Tower and Columbia Tower, through Chinatown and Kobe Terrace.
At the end of the day, I went back to Pier 66, where I could watch the sunset over the sea.
