Departure from Central Germany. Previously visited the family of my driver - for me, it's rather short distances. The long drives are yet to come. And off we go on Tuesday, let's call it Day 1 - in the afternoon at 14:30 - heading south. The rough plan is in place. We drive via Prague to Dobrichovice. My driver spent every vacation in her childhood in this place. Is it a campsite for me or just a short stop? We don't know yet. I am not allowed to cross the border into Dresden without a vignette - so we stop at the first indication. It requires some practice. Tataaataaaaa... I have been given a sticker for the vignette and can drive through Czech Republic for up to 10 days for €12.50. The spontaneous idea comes up - if we do it, let's do it properly. Let's stay in Prague for two days. The little Svensson in the big Prague. Somehow not very motivated to look for a pitch.
Yay, there is Airbnb - and a great apartment in the district of Vršovice with Alice is quickly reserved. I am allowed to stand directly on the street for two nights for free and rest. Before that, I zigzagged up and down through Prague. Luckily, it's already 20:00 and the streets are mostly empty.
Svensson - looking forward to the many days to come. I have been told what it was like in downtown Prague even without me:
This evening, after checking in, there was a delicious ribeye steak with a liter of Pilsner Urquell. She wouldn't have been allowed to drive me anymore today anyway. In bed, there was the penalty shootout between England and Colombia in Czech. England is in the semifinals.
Good night!
