Hello ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Now it's about time! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Since some have really wished me to continue this blog, I have decided to keep writing. But also because my friends are all over the world at the moment and I won't be able to update everyone. ๐Ÿ˜‰

A lot has happened in my life again and by now I can say that I'm 90% back in Germany. ๐Ÿ˜„ I don't have too many problems falling asleep according to the German time anymore and I don't have to adjust to the weather anymore either. ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm in the middle of life or rather in the middle of my studies at the moment. For those who have forgotten or don't remember: I'm studying departmental journalism in Ansbach. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผโ€๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŽค

Currently, I have the subjects video journalism, digital journalism (or also called online journalism), research, journalistic basics and audio journalism.

What do I enjoy the most? I can't really say, because all subjects have something that excites me and makes me want to stay tuned and learn more. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

For example, in video journalism, we'll be shooting and editing our own feature. ๐Ÿ˜„ That will be our term paper in the 1st semester.

In audio journalism, we also have to edit a 2-3 minute piece, but our focus will be on audio rather than filming. So it's kind of like creating a radio feature. ;) This will also be a term paper. ๐ŸŽง

In research and journalistic basics, we focus more on source analysis and how to conduct thorough research for a post. ๐Ÿ˜„

In digital journalism, we learn how to present ourselves well on the Internet and on social media channels and how to find a good 'gap' or a suitable 'niche' to gain visibility. ๐Ÿ˜„

We also have to obtain a camera license. I wonder if I'll pass? ๐Ÿ˜œ I'm sure I will, as I already have some experience with it. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

But here's something I want to mention: before my university was built, the place used to be a US military base. That's why the buildings look like barracks where soldiers are usually accommodated. It's really cool! ๐Ÿ˜Ž It seems like a piece of America is coming to Germany! ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

I also found out that another US military base is a few kilometers away from where I live. The town where this base is located is called Katterbach. :D I even saw an American at Aldi. ๐Ÿ˜œ I guess that happens more often here. ๐Ÿ˜

So, that was a brief summary of my university. But now I'll stop here, because otherwise, no one will want to start studying if I reveal too much. It should only provide an insight. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

The move went well! I also got to explore the city a bit. It looks very beautiful โ˜บ๏ธ

In the gallery, you can see the house where I live. There are six nice young women living there, including me. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ You can also see some impressions of the interior. We share the common areas, but each of us has our own private room, and I think mine is really spacious! ๐Ÿ˜

One of the girls will most likely move out soon. What does that mean? One room will become available again! For now... until someone else comes. :)

It's getting quite autumnal here. The villages and forests become more colorful with each passing day. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚ I love autumn! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Who would have thought, but next week I'll be celebrating my birthday without my family and close friends for the third time. ๐Ÿฅฒ But it's good that I can go home for the long weekend that comes after. Then I'll celebrate again! ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿพ

By the way, I have also found a job now! I think that's simply great because I finally feel like I can earn my own money. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‰

The next blog entry will be about yesterday when we attended the Media Days at university. I want to write my own little blog post about it. It should be online here in the next few days! ๐Ÿ˜‹

With that, I want to wrap things up here for now. Now you are a bit more informed about me. ๐Ÿ˜œ

See you very soon ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป

Yours Salome
