Because we simply love the beach, we head there again in the early morning. This time, we walk along the beach in the northern direction, whereas yesterday we went south. There are significantly fewer people here, which is very pleasant. The beach is just as beautiful and the water is crystal clear. After about 5 minutes of walking on the beach, we lay down with our towels in the shade of a pine tree and let our souls relax.
When we eventually get hungry, we decide to quickly jump into the sea and then head home. However, when we look up at the sky, we notice some dark clouds and the first raindrops reach us. Nevertheless, we don't let that deter us and go swimming anyway, as we will get wet one way or another. So, we end up swimming in the warm sea under heavy rain, while the temperature is still over 30°C and the sun is still shining. It's just wonderful! After a while, we start looking for food.
After lunch, we need to take care of some organizational matters, such as planning the rest of our journey, etc., so we can only leave in the evening. We take a beach walk to the end of Karon Beach in the northern direction. Along the way, we pass small streams coming from the island's interior and the beach's edges that have been eroded by the sea. Very interesting to see. Our walk ends after dusk at our favorite Thai place for dinner. Now we just need to quickly shop for breakfast and then head back to the hostel.
