Our journey continues. From New Brunswick to Cap Breton. We are amazed by the scenery and still by the people here. Cap Breton is like the Black Forest by the sea. We find a sweet great campsite high up the mountain, small but splendid. Camping is popular among young people here again. Small buses are also trendy here. We spend 2 days at Meatcove Camp, as Freddy wanted to stay here a bit longer 🐈. Hiking up the mountain, 1 day at the beach, then we continue. Small waterfalls, nice places to spend the night - feeling safe and well. Of course, we have already used MANNI as a towing vehicle. Everyone helps each other.

August 1st, people: The time has come. Jörg is entering retirement. Vacation and working hours are now a thing of the past. Now comes the hard life of retirement 😜. We celebrated this day in style, with a bonfire, campfire bread, and a golden cigar that Jörg received as a gift for his 60th birthday 3 years ago from Robin. Thanks again Robin - Jörg enjoyed it to the last puff!

Our destination now is the ferry station in North Sydney. This is where the ferry to Newfoundland departs. We go there early in the morning on a whim and actually manage to get a ticket for the same day. "Lucky us," says the nice lady at the counter. Fellow travelers have already booked this crossing in April. The journey lasts 6 hours and we have the nicest weather. We arrive in Newfoundland around 6:30 pm. Great place for the evening and now we are by the beach. Completely new landscape with dunes and sandy beaches or partially like Iceland in the summer...

So, wish you all a nice weekend.

Anette, Jörg, and Freddy 🐈🌞
