After a relaxed 15 hours of sleep, we finally managed to get out of bed ...๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

We only wanted to quickly get a coffee at McDonald's (the only damn place where you can order in English), until we realized that you can only pay here with "Face recognition" - we still don't know what that is - or with cash.

Whatever, we walked to the subway with our coffee and had to endure being insulted in Chinese for about 2 minutes by an older guy. Several attempts to make him understand that our appearance should indicate that we don't speak and understand Chinese have failed. However, an extremely friendly Chinese woman then explained to us that the guy is crazy and thinks our "gender" is shit ๐Ÿ˜‚ okay, thanks for that๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ (Afterwards, we were honestly a bit insulted and shocked ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚)

The controls in the subway here are stricter than at Stuttgart airportโœˆ๏ธ

Afterwards, we walked 2km in the wrong direction, only to walk back and walk 1km in the opposite direction - thanks for that as well.

But after that it was easy cheeeesy, saw a few sights (which are limited to temples and lakes here) and walked our feet off (a relaxing 24 km๐Ÿค™๐Ÿฝ).

A man helped us yesterday when he noticed how absolutely clueless we were. Mega friendly older Chinese man who lived in America for a while. As luck would have it, we met him today right by a huge lake in the midst of a thousand million people, with his wife.. (he praised our English very much ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜‚)

We are an absolute attraction here. We have already taken selfies with random people who come up to us ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ And we are constantly stopped by tourist groups who smile and wave at us ๐Ÿง

New insights:

- Beijing doesn't have that many skyscrapers ๐Ÿค”(only three โœŒ๐Ÿฝ)

- There seem to be no traffic rules here (the stronger one wins)

- We feel like we are the only foreigners here

- We probably won't get used to the behavior rules of the Chinese for the next three weeks (smacking!!!, burping and spitting on the street, not lifting your feet while walking,....)

- The majority is really friendly, but there are also a few idiots like in our country๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ
