30th day, Barcelona to Calella

Thursday 27.04.23, sunny with 20-25°C. After our bikes were allowed to sleep in the restaurant overnight, we could only wake them up at 10:00. So after breakfast we went to the Panderia to the laundromat (almost 2 km away on foot). By now we are professionals when it comes to Spanish laundromats, even though each one works differently. Today I even instructed an elderly Spanish gentleman, but that was mostly done through gestures 😉. After we convinced our bikes that the lazy life is over now, we continued towards Calella. A total of 63 km, the first 25 km through Barcelona, all cycle paths. Then to the sea, they have really beautiful beaches here, coarse sand, without much development. However, there is a small problem, starting from Barcelona, the two-track railway line is between the sea with beach and the localities or the road. So the sea can only be reached if there is a tunnel.

Small anecdote today, Pepe wanted to put his feet in the sea for a bit. I only saw him again when he came out of the sea completely wet, he had rolled up his pants. Now we are sitting in the laundromat again. Maybe we should sign up as laundry room testers. (Note from the author, I had the consent of the person affected to report this😉)

Today a nice hotel with breakfast, an absolute bargain, the bikes can sleep with us. See you tomorrow....
