Mui Ne and Saigon

Published: 30.04.2018

Finally, going to the beach! That's what we thought when we booked the bus to Mui Ne. When we arrived there on the Sleeping Bus, our driver more or less kicked us out of the bus. Angi looked at the directions to the hotel and it really said that it's still 8 km away, even though the bus driver told us we HAVE to get off here...Hotel here, Hotel here...ok, let's wave a taxi. Upon arriving at the hotel, our bus also arrived at the same time. The driver had such a surprised expression on his face. The thoughts were definitely: ohhhhh Fuck :D Ok, but now to the beach...Second thought, how to move around without melting immediately??? How hot is it here! So, beach is out, shaded spots are not available, and the sea is lukewarm. So, we need a Plan B, hmmmm something cool to drink? Sure, but this time not beer...beer was cheaper than water, what bad luck :D The next morning, we wanted to go for breakfast, but at half past eleven we were told: Breakfast? Now? Ohh no, later.... Ok, then no breakfast. After a few relaxing days in Mui Ne, we continued on to Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon. When we arrived there, the shock hit us...Fuck, it's just as hot here...Sweating from walking, we arrived at our hostel. The nice lady at the reception let us know that our booking couldn't be found, but no problem, we can check in at the hostel across the street. In hindsight, that hostel was much nicer. :) Unfortunately, we couldn't do much in the heat, so we spent half the day in the hostel and the rest of the day in a cafe with a fan watching people.
