Today the day will be taken a bit easier than usual. We will rent a scooter again and go to town in the morning to do some shopping and check the departure times of the ferries at the pier. Along the way, we will enjoy the scenery.
In the afternoon, we will relax in the bungalow as it is too hot for the beach. We also need to recover from yesterday's boat tour as we got a bit of a sunburn. We are also keeping ourselves updated on the return flight, as it seems to be difficult at the moment.
In the afternoon, we will take a trip to the beaches. On the way to Long Beach, our journey is briefly interrupted by a group of monkeys crossing the road in front of us. After braking and honking a little, we can continue driving under the watchful eyes of the monkeys. Back at the bungalow, we are greeted by monkeys again, but they quickly disappear upon our arrival. Only one monkey the size of a medium-sized dog remains, to our surprise, in its place right next to the path and about 8 meters away from our bungalow. However, we do not see him and drive half a meter past him. It is only when he startles, bares his teeth, and wildly hisses at us that we notice him in shock. We quickly accelerate with our scooter and race the few meters to our bungalow on the bumpy road. Meanwhile, the monkey runs away. That was quite a fright!
In the evening, we go to the 'city' for dinner, as Poom seems to be taking a spontaneous day off today. But we will treat ourselves to a nice dinner. Appetizer: Chicken Nuggets, Main course: Beef Burger, Dessert: Ice Chocolate. Yum yum.
Then it's time to go home.
