Von Cormet de roselend über den Col du grand fond

Day 4

This morning, the sun woke us up for the first time. With high spirits, we put on our shorts and had a cold breakfast. Then we climbed about 700 meters up to Col du grand fond. We were sweating buckets in the blazing sun, but the landscape made it all worthwhile. When it got rocky, we even spotted the first ibex of the tour.

After a bit of perseverance, we arrived hungry at the lake near Refuge de presset. After the meal, we and some clothes were washed in the icy lake (next to the last snow), so we could continue hiking feeling fresh and clean.

Then, we had a warm descent until we reached the tree line, where we set up our camp and finally made a fire. We had vegetarian sausages and Moroccan lentil stew.
