Tag 143 is called Egg Cake (English Pancakes). This tasty mixture of eggs/milk/flour (can be expanded as desired) was eaten here on the NW Coast of the South Island of NZ in Murchison on 26.02.20 at 9:30am for breakfast.
😂 🤣 exciting introduction, right?
The night before was tough. The sleep was too short because of alcohol 🍷! Unpredictably, we ended up side by side with Mr. H. and his wife Mrs. U. at the Riverside Holiday Park. Ulli and Mich were crystal clear with a Krombacher beer bottle, that there are relatives from the same language standing next door. From the initial greeting, "Hello..." it turned into an intensive conversation about tomatoes, plums, cookies, and a small canister of red wine.
Greetings to you two at this point.
We pick up the thread again and after breakfast, we head to the Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki. The formation is still in balance ⚖️. There are different explanations. We think that our breakfast cakes from this morning were created simpler and much faster, but they were also gone just as quickly 😋 🤤 Bon appétit.
The day was rounded off with seals. Inconspicuously disguised on the rocks, they made themselves heard with loud howls. Playfully, they float through the water in turbulent surf and meter-high waves. They could be spotted well from a lookout point above them. Undoubtedly a highlight ☝🏼
Onwards... the journey continues for overnight rest on the coast of Greymouth.
Good night
