When you're sitting at breakfast and checking the guidebook again to make sure you've seen everything and then discover your accommodation (after the 3rd night 🙄) ...
Well, it was cold, gray, drizzling. And it's Sunday. Oops, back to the room and under the covers. I wanted to go straight to Viña del Mar after breakfast. Hmmmmh. No, back up, put on my backpack and go - dressed warmly in layers.
The moment, after more than a week in Chile, finally being at the beach, smelling the sea, hearing the waves crash, incredible! Did I come to stay? For the moment, yes - until the sun came out.
It's clear that I didn't bring any swimwear, right? (see above) And the Humboldt Current ensures a refreshing water temperature of 14 degrees Celsius. Honestly, I wouldn't have gone in the water anyway, at least my feet were in the Pacific.
On the way back, I already noticed that I had been at the beach for too long. Okay, but it was worth it!
Tomorrow it's time to move on. Next stop: La Serena.
