...Waking up at 8:30 am is planned. It ended up being about an hour later. Well, for that, we have even more energy today... or so we thought. The weather has demanded a lot from us and we also have to pay tribute due to the past few days. We have already walked a good 50km in the last few days.

We start our journey to the MRT station "Little India". There we take the subway towards the harbor and search in the underground labyrinth of the huge shopping mall for an exit. At the harbor, we first strengthen ourselves with homemade sandwiches before exploring the island of Santosa. This can be very well described as the leisure island of Singapore - Universal Studios, amusement park, theater shows, cable cars, sandy beaches are just a small part of the possibilities. We struggle with the high humidity and the burning sun, so we look for the direct path to the beach. The beach with palm trees and fine sand - probably all artificially created - looks great and we want to cool off in the water as quickly as possible. However, while changing, a tropical rain shower breaks out. But this does not stop us from taking a refreshing swim in the pleasantly temperate sea :-)

Soon it is time to return, because we still want to go to the roof of the Marina Bay Sands hotel - a highlight that we have been looking forward to the whole time in Singapore. Due to the long distance and the lack of time, we take the MRT from the harbor to "Chinatown". There we have a quick dinner (Thai food). We continue on foot towards Marina Bay, where we again move almost continuously underground. You could think that half the city is connected underground.

We have finally reached Tower 3 of the hotel and go up to the 57th floor in less than 45 seconds. Now we are on top of Singapore. Wow - see for yourself!

P.s. On the way back, we promptly get lost underground ;-) haha.

That's it in Singapore. Tomorrow we are already going to Auckland NZL. On to the next adventure. We will be in touch as soon as possible...
