Hey there, fluffies! 🐑

Since Singapore has four official languages, including Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, and English. I won't greet you this time in the country's official language as usual.

Our unexciting time in Malaysia ended with a bus ride to Singapore. It took us about 5 hours to arrive in Singapore.

Just like in Malaysia, as a German passport holder, no visa application is required for an extra visa, but you need to fill out an arrival card online. A nice lady at the border helped us with that. We also had to throw away all cigarette packets at the border. Mom is happy about it, but our wallet is not so pleased.

Our hotel room in Singapore was small and stuffy, but nicely decorated. We stayed near Arab Street, known for its street art. Additionally, there is a large, very beautiful mosque in this neighborhood, which we passed by closely during our city tour the next day.

Singapore impresses with its cleanliness, numerous green spaces, and planted facades. I felt very comfortable there because unlike the rest of the major cities in Southeast Asia, it looks so orderly. Those who have been to Southeast Asia know what I'm talking about.

We visited 'Little India' in Singapore, where Indians were bustling around and Indian music from various countries could be heard loudly on the streets. It was an experience. We also visited a park with a botanical garden, which I personally liked the most. Despite the fact that Singapore is such a gigantic city, I didn't really feel overwhelmed by crowds like in Bangkok, for example.

Unfortunately, Singapore is an extremely expensive city, and the prices there can almost give you a heart attack. Well, we are also a bit spoiled from the last 6 months of our trip.

In Singapore, the first stage of our world trip comes to an end. The time here was marked by wonderful experiences, lovely people, feelings of happiness, but also despair, frustration, and stress. Anyone who tells you that traveling is easy and relaxing is lying. Traveling as a couple is not always easy. Not having the possibility to take a break from each other with friends, family, or even work makes a huge difference. We are looking forward to being able to have at least a bit of routine again soon.

Australia, here we come! 🦘
