Day 17: Santa Monica, Malibu to Long Beach

On the 17th day, we dedicate ourselves to the beach districts of Los Angeles. We started in Malibu, a coastal area known from many TV series.

We didn't miss out on the Santa Monica Pier and the famous Muscle Beach, despite the outrageous parking fees for motorhomes.

The pier is the official end of Route 66 and accordingly full of tourists :) Even a small amusement park was built on the pier.

In temperatures of around 40 degrees Celsius, we took a walk along Muscle Beach, where people actually trained in the blazing sun.

We concluded with Long Beach, where a Queen Mary is permanently anchored.

On day 18, we will visit the Universal Studios.
