I pack my suitcase...

... which is not quite right in this case, because you shouldn't take suitcases on board, there's no space for them. Bags, backpacks, and bags are better.

The more important question: What do you take on a four-week sailing trip? What is necessary, what is optional, and what do we actually have space for? Absolutely necessary in Sweden: mosquito repellent and sunscreen. Clothes would also be nice, but since there is no wardrobe, you can only take clothes for one week and hope for a washing machine in the harbor. In addition to normal everyday clothes, things that can withstand a storm at sea and a rain front (yay) are of course important. In fact, I have now decided to buy professional sailing shoes for this slightly greater challenge and not rely on my previous sneakers. They are absolutely non-slip and should help me if I actually have to climb the mainsail again in waves and stronger winds.

Joking aside, it's summer, the sun will definitely shine all the time and a gentle breeze will blow... :-)

Actually, my biggest concern right now is forgetting something relevant. I'm curious.

Since I have been asked about it more often: we buy groceries in advance and then leave with a full refrigerator. That will last for about 3-4 days until we have to find a supermarket somewhere. This usually works quite well, many harbors are well equipped or have shopping facilities within walking distance. We are well taken care of during the journey. If we don't have shore power, we don't have the luxury of an electric kettle, but you can still boil the coffee water on the stove like in the old days :-)
