Guimarães

Guimarães was the first capital of Portugal and the "cradle of the country", as I gather from the WoMo book. No wonder it's teeming with people here. It's vacation time and families are going on trips. And here, it's practically a must-do for every Portuguese.

I'm going to take a look at the castle, once again, dogs are not allowed. Then we'll explore the old town. And it's really beautiful here! Unfortunately, the sun is already setting, and the many pubs invite you to a warm summer evening. We'll save it for next time, as it's going to rain tomorrow.

Apparently, you can barely believe it when you look at the sky.

Unfortunately, it's true. And so today we're going to drive on the highway in the direction of home.
