Chicago - part two

Everyone was looking forward to today. We had plenty of time to visit all of Chicago - alone. The teachers had organized tickets in advance for a 'hop on-hop off' bus tour. It went all around Chicago and stopped at twelve stations, where you could get off and back on. Since we hadn't been doing any sports in the past few weeks and had been feeding ourselves burgers, our condition wasn't the best anymore. So we all rode the 12 stations together as a group and got off at the last one - Navy Pier. We rode a Ferris wheel here to enjoy the view. At this point, a big shoutout to Mrs. Teutloff, who would have almost died of fear but still managed the situation quite well. After that, we were free to move around Chicago, always in groups. I went to the aquarium with Laura Z, Mrs. Teutloff, and Mrs. Hinz. Maybe we should have checked beforehand because when we arrived after an hour-long walk, the line was too long and we couldn't get in. Doesn't matter, the walk on the pier was very nice, we had sun and felt sporty for the first time in two weeks.

After the disappointment of the aquarium, we went to see the famous Chicago Bean. However, it was quite crowded there and the Bean was quickly visited and photographed. Our teachers then went to the famous Art Museum, Laura and I just strolled around Chicago and sat down in a café (surprise, it was Starbucks).

Then in the early evening, we took the bus, rode all 12 stations again, and used the time for girl talk. Along the way, we picked up the boys and then went to the hotel together. After a round of baseball in the hallway, we all ordered pizza and ate it in the hotel corridor. That was a really nice way to end the evening and we all enjoyed it.
