Namibia and South Africa 2018

បោះពុម្ពផ្សាយ: 31.03.2018

Soon it's time again! The next big trip is coming up! =)

Unfortunately, my old travel blog page has been deleted and all my previous travel blogs are gone... =(

Therefore, I am now writing under this new blog and hope you still read along! =)

Next, this time I'm going to Namibia for the 2nd time since 2011 and then for the 1st time to South Africa/Cape Town.

In Namibia, I will first visit a good friend who originally comes from Babenhausen. I will be staying with her from Friday to Sunday. On Monday, I will pick up a 4x4 off-road vehicle with a roof tent and camping equipment and then go on a self-guided trip through Namibia for 11 days.

First, I will go up to the Etosha National Park for 2 nights on safari, then continue to the Epupa Falls, which we unfortunately had to skip last time due to breakdowns. The plan is to visit Spitzkoppe and arrive in Swakopmund on Friday for the weekend. Then, either on Sunday or Monday, I will continue to Sossusvlei to see the largest sand dunes in the world and the 'Tree Cemetery' Deadvlei with trees standing dead for over 500 years due to the dryness.

Depending on the time available, I will also go to Lüderitz and the Fish River Canyon. However, the rental car must be returned on Thursday afternoon and on Friday, I will already take the flight to Cape Town. Here, I will either try couchsurfing or stay in a hostel. A few meetings with couchsurfers are already planned, but unfortunately, I haven't found a place to stay yet.

Otherwise, starting from Cape Town, I will take day trips to the surrounding area. Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, and let's see what else there is to discover! ;)

Okay, I hope I can entertain you well with this trip again!

See you soon when it all starts! =)
