Hello there
The past month has been a roller coaster...right and left...forward and backward...Very educational, turbulent, interesting, annoying, beautiful, difficult...
It's hard for me to put into words what I experience here, because what happens between the lines is actually the exciting part, but this would take a book...and I still lack the courage for that🤔
Cleaning a grave with sponges in the middle of the jungle, not understanding why and how...visiting a temple with singing monks, not understanding what it's about...meeting my new family without a spoken language - only with heart, hands, and feet...eating original Thai food and not knowing what it is...being with Cannon for 24 hours and constantly having this mutual: Whaaaat???
This is what we call: Arriving in a new home! The vacation is over, the getting to know each other spills over into everyday life...and my everyday life is daily new and challenging, beautiful but also very intense!
Cannon abruptly ended his work at the Beach Bar and my time 'alone' was over from one day to the next.
We were able to go to Ranong with Christian (owner of Lanta Sport Resort and Muay Thai) and Anders to attend a big fight event. Wut fought in the evening, and boy, the blood was splashing and he had to stitch his forehead afterwards, but he won👊👊👊
After 3.4 days of sleeping and relaxing, his mother and his brother came to pick us up on Lanta by car. The next day we drove to their home in Songkhla (8h). I had 4 wonderful days with them in their countryside, in original Thai style, no tourists around. The family has very little, but their heart is bigger than some Europeans who have everything and yet are not satisfied! I am very grateful to have a new family😍😍😍
Back on Lanta, we took care of our business, which we want to start.
But shortly after, his sister came to stay with us for 4 days. We took a speedboat trip - 4 Island Trip with snorkeling, swimming through a cave, and relaxing. Wonderful to spend a day far out at sea!
Afterwards, we fought our way through the visa paperwork jungle for Cannon, phew... if the visa works out, he can come with me to Switzerland to say hello and enjoy a few days of vacation😃😃😃
Regarding business: Thailand is Thailand...and nothing is like in Switzerland😂😂😂 As long as we don't find the right thing, we exercise patience! But I am confident that it will work out soon.
Today, Cannon had his first day of work here at the resort where we will be staying until the end of May. Yeah👌👌👌
I am training diligently again and keeping my eyes and ears open for the future🤘🤘🤘
The weather is changing now, it's getting hotter, more oppressive, and soon the rainy season will begin, the island will become quieter and emptier, which I really enjoy!
I hope the Swiss summer doesn't follow the Sechseläuten Bögg and it will be a warm, beautiful summer for you! Who knows, maybe we'll see each other soon😍
With love from Thailand, Daniela
