Physicist Stephen Hawking already knew that work can give meaning and direction to life. We spend most of our time working, so it would be a shame to do something we don't enjoy. I went to Canada to gain new experiences on how to accompany children with and in nature. The Americans have long been aware of Nature Deficit Disorder, meaning that children who no longer have dirt under their fingernails, do not climb trees, and do not engage in mud fights are said to develop behavioral disorders.
My educational mission and my journey into the wilderness were thwarted by Canadian officials and school principals, who are as unpredictable as a cowboy's horse with their checkered shirts. So the horse reared up and threw off the Swiss for now. So I'll be back in the spring and get to work in Parc Ela once again. Of course, I'm not very pleased, because this vast country is my second great love. My first love, of course, is Annina, and after four months, it will be time to hold her in my arms again.
Right now, I feel a kind of satisfaction that only comes when you are in the right place at the right time, and a kind of inspiration that comes when you do the right thing in the right way. And both are only granted to you when you free your heart from any ambition, goal, and plan. Only then can you fully devote yourself to the destiny-filled moment.
I understand my life as a bus journey. The path seems to be predetermined and in the end, everyone has to get off at the final stop. Sometimes you get off early at a bus stop, meet people, and gain experiences. But somehow you know that you have to take the next bus to follow your schedule.
