Bilanz der ersten zwei Monate

Hello dear ones!

Hard to believe, the first two months are already over! A certain routine has developed here (as far as that can be said in this busy house). The boys are cool, the business is going well, and now I also had the opportunity to get to know the two older children, Daniel and Danica, a bit better over the last weekend: Danica turned 21 last week, and since that's a special birthday, a big house was rented away from everything and the closest friends were invited to celebrate together for the weekend! The house was located near Smiths Lake, a beautiful quiet lake, about 150 km above Newcastle. We had a pool, a hot tub, good weather, long nights, and cozy days.

My host parents rented a small apartment a few minutes away with the boys. It was nice to be able to sleep in for a few days and not constantly have to worry about where they were running off to. Nevertheless, I missed them very much and found it very sweet when Jett called me on Saturday evening to wish me good night.

Also, I drove a car for the first time! That was fun! It was an all-wheel-drive pickup truck with manual transmission!

Also, I got to know two of the boys who are going on vacation with us for New Year's. I haven't told you anything about that yet: On December 29th, we are leaving Sydney for 10 days on a huge cruise ship to the South Pacific to the islands of New Caledonia and Vanuatu. I'm really excited and everyone is already raving about it! I will update you when I have more information!

I can say that it was a good decision to come here and bridge the time between studying and training. I'm learning a lot and not just in one area. Of course, there are also moments when I miss my familiar surroundings and all of you! Nevertheless, it is very nice here and summer is coming and time is flying. And I'm also looking forward to Freiburg, my sports, and the training! Take care, I'm sending you some sunshine into the cool November air and sending you warm greetings!
