Vibrant colors, stunning landscapes, and pan flute... that's my first impression of Peru π
When we arrived in Cusco by plane, we took a collectivo (which is a shared taxi) to Ollantaytambo π. As we were about to leave, my grandma in the back started shouting (we were the only tourists in that collectivo) and well, we had to stop for gas π.
After 2 hours, we finally arrived in Ollantaytambo and took a tuk-tuk to our hotel :).
Ollantaytambo is located at an altitude of 2792 meters - compared to Cusco (3416)
It's a charming village with Inca ruins and storehouses.
The next day, we hired a taxi driver and visited Moray to see the Inca terraces, the ruins in Ollantaytambo, and the Pinkuylluna (Inca storehouses).
So many impressive things to see. And the backdrop of the Andes is just breathtaking.
The people here are very warm and friendly, and I'm glad I can communicate a little in Spanish :).
We're planning our trip ahead. Next, we'll take the train to Agua Calientes and then hike up to Machu Picchu.
